Red Oak is a cold hardy deciduous tree with a broad habit good for a shade or lawn tree. New leaves are bright red to yellow, aging to dark green with white undersides. Red fall color. Plant with Magnolia in areas like Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento. Deer resistant.
