Plant in enriched garden soil 1-2 weeks after last frost. Leave 5′-6′ of space between plant. Fertilize when transplanting and when flowers are about to bloom. Water early morning or late evening. Harvest melons when they become aromatic and the stem begins cracking. Fruits should break away from vine relatively early.
