Hydrangea ‘Royal Purple’ is a deciduous shrub with large, rich purple mophead blooms. Grows in an upright, rounded habit and flowers in summer. Used in containers, as a specimen plant, or as a hedge. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
Grows well in partial shade and moist, well drained soils. Best color when soil is acidic. Feed regularly during blooming season.
