Feather Reed Grass Karl Foerster is a perennial grass that grows in an upright, clumping habit. Fluffy, purple tinted flowers emerge among fine-textured, bright green foliage in late spring. Use as a filler plant in landscapes. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.

Thrives in most well draining soils. In late winter before new growth, prune back to 4″ above ground. Sterile variety does not reseed readily reseed.
