Pomegranate ‘Angel Red’ is a deer resistant, deciduous fruiting shrub or small tree. Blooms orange-red flowers summer, followed by soft seeded, red, tangy fruit early fall. Use as potted plant, espalier, hedge or accent. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.

Prefers enriched soil with good drainage. During blooming period increase watering, but reduce frequency when fruiting. Feed in early spring with a fruit tree fertilizer. Prune to shape in early spring.
