Trident Maple is a deciduous tree with three lobed, glossy, green leaves with pale undersides. Foliage turns red, orange or yellow in fall. Bark adopts flaky appearance as the tree matures. Use as a bonsai or lawn tree. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
