Cork Oak is a very large, deer resistant, evergreen tree is excellent for providing a shady area with green, serrated leaves that have gray undersides. Distinctive bark is traditionally used to produce bottle corks. Use as a shade tree in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
