Ginkgo ‘Autumn Gold’ is a deciduous tree with an upright, spreading habit. Light green, fan-shaped leaves turn golden-yellow in fall. Male variety produces small, yellow catkins in spring. Use as an accent or lawn tree. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
Flourishes in most well draining soil types. Prune for structure and to keep desired shape during winter. Feed with a tree and shrub fertilizer in spring before new growth.
These characteristics apply to the greater Sacramento area and nearby regions.
