Plum ‘Weeping Santa Rosa’ grows in a weeping habit, yielding an abundance of reddish-purple plums. Self-fruiting, and a great pollinizer for other plum varieties. Tangy plums are excellent dehydrated or used in desserts. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
Prefers enriched soil with good drainage. Establish good structure when young and keep pruned. In summer, prune to keep tree to a manageable size. Estimated chilling time of 400 hours below 45°F.
