Asian Pear ’20th Century’ is a self-fruiting tree that produces mildly sweet, round, golden yellow pears in late summer. Easy to grow fruit keeps exceptionally well. Great pollinizer for other Asian pear varieties. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
Prefers enriched soil with good drainage. Establish good structure when young and keep pruned. In summer, prune to keep tree to a manageable size. Estimated chilling time of 400 hours below 45°F.
