Flowering Plum ‘Krauter Vesuvius’ is an ornamental, deciduous tree with black-purple leaves, the darkest foliage of any of the flowering plums. Single, light pink flowers in spring. Produces little or no fruit. Use as accent or specimen in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
Plant in enriched and well drained soil. In spring, feed with a multipurpose fertilizer.
