Spring blooming bulb with grey-green, sword-like foliage. Mid spring brings tall spikes adorned with deep purple, nearly black, bell shaped flowers. Full sun, moderate water, deer resistant, cut flower. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.
