Evergreen tree fern with glossy, dark, lace-like fronds that grow with a symmetrical habit. New foliage emerges stiffly and then droops backwards to form a tassel. Use as a shady border, erosion control, or ground cover. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.

Grows well in humus rich soil with excellent drainage. Feed periodically during growth season. Cut back old fronds when new growth begins in spring.
