Evergreen fern with sword-shaped, toothed, deep green fronds. Very hardy and reliable. Grows in an open, upright, spreading habit. Use for erosion control, as a shady border or near poolsides. Grows well in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento.

Grows best in enriched, well-drained soil. Establish an extensive root system by watering deeply during first growing season. Cut back old fronds before new growth begins in spring. Feed periodically.
